I made the mince pies last year with ultrafine but since I’ve a bag of normal FF that needs using up before I get some more ultrafine - has anyone tried pastry with regular fibre flour so I can get my mince pies done please? If so, please can I have recip. Thanks!

Agreed, pastry works with either but best with uf or a blend. You can also add a little regular flour to the fiberflour for failsafe results
Yaay they look absolutely delicious.
Hello!! Using the tips on here made these beauts with 100g ff and 100g uf because i’m running low! Also running low on mincemeat so mixed in more raisins to stretch it out. Egg wash and a sprinkle of coconut sugar. Love this forum and these recipes! Merry Christmas everyone xx
Use an egg or two instead of water in your pastry to make it more robust. Otherwise a little short and flaky
This is prebaking so they have milk wash on pastry.
Hi Caroline. I used the above suggestion for the fibreflour pastry & this for the filling - plus I did add in a few raisins, chopped apples https://thelowcarbkitchen.co.uk/low-carb-mince-pies/
Great. I’ll get baking - then ordering some more ultra-fine!
A little salt and baking powder too
Thank you!
Try 200g ff to 100g butter or better Atora. Bring together with an egg and if necessary a little water. It will be more fragile to roll out but makes a great flaky pastry
